SOPA: Pre-arrival services for approved immigrants to Canada

Settlement Online Pre-Arrival (SOPA) is a program for people who live outside Canada and have received approval from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to immigrate to Canada.

Resources and courses are offered at no charge and include one-on-one orientation, job search support and workplace culture training, and referral to a wide range of post-arrival services upon entry to Canada. An English level of 5.5 or higher (IELTS) and access to a computer and high-speed Internet are required to receive these services.

This program is funded by IRCC, and for Atlantic Canada, including Prince Edward Island, it is delivered through Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia.
