New immigrants - permanent or temporary residents - who would like to learn more about renting a house or an apartment and learn more about renting law in PEI are encouraged to attend in person on join in online.

On Thursday, September 14 at 2:00 p.m., IRSA is presenting an information session with Rowen Gallant of rentingpei. Come learn about your rights and responsibilities as tenants living and learning on Prince Edward Island.
Topics will include:
- What to look for in a lease agreement
- How to navigate living with roommates
- How to deal with conflict with your landlord
- Renting units vs. renting rooms
- Damage deposits
- Tips on leaving your rental happily
- Questions and answers period
Canadian law protects renters and landlords, and knowing your rights can save you money and stress.
